24.2MP APS-C Excmor CMOS Sensor and BIONZ X Processor

The sensor features a unique design which utilizes thin copper wiring and an enhanced from-end LSI which helps boost its light gathering abilities. The camera has a sensor which features a thin copper wiring which enhances circuit processing ad has an enhanced front-end LSI which helps to boost light-gathering abilities, reduce noise and increase readout speeds. Combining the BIONZ X processor and sensor allows you continous shooting at a rate of 11 fps with AF and AE of up to 8 fps which provides a silent shutter, and allows upto 14-bit raw file output.

4D FOCUS

The Sony A6400 comes with a powerful 4D FOCUS system which incorporates 425 on-chip phase-detection points with 425 contrast-detection areas. It has a density of focusing points from the hybrid AF system enabling High-density Tracking AF Technology. The camera has a Touch Focus and Touch Tracking control and a Touchpad Focus Control mode which helps you to use rear screen intuitively while keeping your eye to a viewfinder.

UHD 4K Video Recording in XAVC S Format

Oversamples 4K recording is made possible, which uses a 6K capture area within the Super 35 area. It has a full pixel readout which is void of pixel binning for higher quality imagery. You can use the S-Log2 Gamma Curve available in Sony Cinema cameras which squeezes up to 1300% giving you a large dynamic range. It also has an A-Log2,S-Log3 is available for producing a more effective 14-stop dynamic range with an increased grading control in the shadow to mid-tone regions. The Sony A6400 also comes with an Eye AF which can be used when taking photos especially animals or subjects.It comes with a rear touchscreen which can be used for Touch Focus Tracking and has a Touchpad Focus Control mode.The Sony A6400 also features a Peaking MF function which functions to benefit manual focus control by highlighted sharp edges of contrast for a more objective means of acquiring sharp focus.
